Eliza Martin, 97, of Plymouth, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Catherine Kasper
Donaldson in Plymouth, IN.

She was born on January 24, 1923, in Gauge, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Vicie (Clemons) Russell. Eliza moved to the area from Kentucky when she was 18 years old and worked for American Home Food, from which she retired after 30 years. On June 9, 1945, she married Russell Martin, who preceded her in death. Eliza lived her life for the Lord and was always helping the needy. She enjoyed baking, especially for WKVI in Knox.

Eliza is survived by two daughters, Norma (Rudy) Heise of Monterey, IN, Wanda Richie of South Bend; son, Arnold Martin of Smithville, TN; brothers, Gobel (Betty) Russell of North Judson, IN, Floyd Russell of Gauge; sisters, Irene McDonough of Florence, KY, Luna Sexton, Cincinnati, OH; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Eliza was preceded in death by her son, Roger Martin, daughter,

Reva Minor and sister, Bessie Russell. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A Celebration gathering will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home on Friday, February 14 at 11 am with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte,
