Daniel Dean Wardlow, 48, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly at 10:19 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020, in his home.
He was born July 31, 1971, in La Porte, Indiana, to Robert Lee and Sarah (Loop) Wardlow.
Daniel managed Burger King, La Porte for 17 years and was a member of the First Church of God, La Porte. He enjoyed sports, bowling, playing poker and loved to travel to Tennessee.
Surviving are his son, Zachary Hunter Wardlow of La Porte; nieces and nephews, Justin, Jacob and Jordan Wardlow and Christopher, Jade, Alexis, and Trey West; two brothers, Douglas (Christine) Wardlow of Valparaiso and Duane Wardlow of La Porte; one sister, Doris (Chris) West of Kingsford Heights; his very good friends, Corey and Rachel Casto; one goddaughter, Natalie; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding in death were his father; two uncles, Jack Loop and Ed Kwast; aunts Linda Sheterton, Norma Kwast, and Mae Kisser; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loop and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Wardlow.
A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at First Church of God, 2020 E. Lincolnway, La Porte, with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Visitation and viewing will be from 12 p.m. until time of service at the church. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, La Porte (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
