Adult Pottery with Local Artist

Explore traditional clay-sculpting techniques, including pinching, coiling, and slab building, while creating a festive lantern of your own! Local artist Alayna Erne, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with a concentration in ceramics, will guide you through the process of shaping, decorating and glazing your clay creation. During this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to build a lantern using clay slabs and create unique cutout designs. 2026-2027 Men's Basketball Season

The City of La Porte's Municipal Basketball League, runs from November through March, with a 12-game regular season followed by a division tournament. Offered is a Sunday and a Tuesday competitive league. Games are played at the Civic Auditorium, with some games played at LPCSC facilities. The deadline to enter the men's Sunday and Tuesday leagues for the 2026-2027 season is Friday, October 23, at 4 p.m. A mandatory manager's meeting for the Sunday and Tuesday league teams will be held in the Ken Moryl Conference room located at the La Porte Park and Recreation Administrative Offices, 250 Pine Lake Avenue on Monday, October 26 at 6 p.m. Games will begin in November. Christmas Session of Junior Rec Gymnastics

This fun program offered through a grant from Health Foundation of La Porte, will teach basic gymnastics fundamentals while building confidence, independence, agility and coordination. Class will follow a circuit format, while learning skills such as forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, strength and flexibility.
