Personalities

Mandy H

Mandy grew up in Hammond, Indiana and moved around Lake County before settling in LaPorte in her dream log home in 2015.

She lives with her husband and two dogs (who you’ll probably hear about every so often on air).

When not at radio station, she enjoys spending time with friends & family, seeing, acting, directing, or costuming local theatre, and listening to pop culture podcasts.

Her hobbies & interests include embroidery (sometimes even without curse words!) and travel.

One of the many interesting things about Mandy is that she trained with and had a voice over reel produced by JoBe Cerny of Cerny American Creative, who is best known as the Pillsbury Dough Boy. Mandy has appeared in several Mardi Gras Parades in New Orleans as a variety of different sci-fi/’nerdy’ characters.

Rowdy Yates

Rowdy Yates is a second-generation broadcaster, born in Texas and raised in some of the greatest radio stations ever. Son of legendary news journalist and frequent Paul Harvey substitute, Joe Holstead, Rowdy’s radio travels have taken him to garden spots such as Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Houston, Tulsa, and Dallas; with stops in “B-towns” including Bryan, Bridgeport, and Brady. He began his career at the age of 15, running the church tapes at Denton’s KDNT, near his hometown of Ft. Worth. [His Mom had to drive him to work every Sunday morning.]

Yates’ resume reads like a who’s-who of impressive radio stations where he has served primarily as air personality, but over the years has applied his talents to web design, social networking, promotions, marketing, programming and operations.

Today, we're honored to have Rowdy as a part of the airstaff at 96.7 The Eagle. He can be heard at various times throughout the week on 96.7 The Eagle. He will start your day as host of the Midnight to 5a shift (Monday - Saturday), he keeps you company while you work weekdays from 10a to 2p, and will entertain you while you're out and about on Saturday afternoon from 2p to 7p.

Trevor Michaels

TREVOR MICHAELS | 2PM - 6PM MONDAY - FRIDAY | 9AM - 2PM SATURDAYS

Trevor Michaels is a professional writer, producer, and failed street magician who somehow wound up in the impossible situation of hosting the Rock 106.5 Afternoon Revue- not to say he hasn't been in scraps like this before.

A graduate of Griffith High School and Ball State University (Go Cardinals!), Trevor got his start in radio as a morning news anchor for WCRD for a period back in 2018, and while he's gone on to help write, produce, and in one instance host three seasons of BSU Tonight- a comedy/variety program- in addition to working and volunteering with organizations like The Walt Disney Company, the Heartland Film Festival, and Austin-based start-up StoryFit, the allure of the microphone was never far away... and not just because people told him he had the face for it.

Trevor's a fan of the world of cinema, a staunch defender of animation as an artistic medium, an avid gamer, an amateur artist/graphic designer, and a person who reads good. He enjoys board games (if/when the opportunity arises), theme parks (see prior parenthesis) digging into relatively ancient media, long walks on the beach by moonlight, run-on sentences aggrandizing one's ego, independent comedy, and of course, good rock music.

Regardless of all this nonsense, he's here to entertain you.

Stan grew up in Lake Station and has lived in New Buffalo since 1996.

He has two sons, Travis and Tyler, who are 22 years old.

He absolutely loved coaching baseball for teams his sons played on in New Buffalo and La Porte while they were growing up and now enjoys traveling to southern California and Arizona for sightseeing and golf during his time away from work every summer.

When not chasing local news stories, Hobbs is the Assistant Principal and Professor of Languages at a boarding school in LaPorte County.

He spends the rest of his time helping his wife of 20 years raise their eight children and wondering why the Bears can’t seem to win another Super Bowl.
