God's Wonder Lab: Jesus Does the Impossible

OUR GOD CAN MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE!
He does marvelous things!

 

A science lab conducts experiments that explain how things are possible.  In Jesus’ ministry, He did things that are impossible.  His greatest miracle of all was dying on the cross and rising from the dead for our salvation.  At God’s Wonder Lab, discover that Jesus does the impossible for us.

Our enrollment is limited to 50 students this year so that we can follow pandemic safety guidelines, and pre-registration is required.  You can register online on this site or contact the office for a mailed form.  One form is needed for EACH child.

City of LaPorte Lakefest 2021

Come one, come all to the City of LaPorte’s first-ever LakeFest! Running July 30 through August 1, the festival boasts three days of music, AquaX personal watercraft racing, artisan market, Venetian boat parade, fireworks, food and fun for the whole family on LaPorte’s Pine, Stone and Clear lakes. We are doing a Poker run, all motorcycles and clubs welcome. Open to the public. Hog roast, food, fun and music. Music, bike rodeo and raffles start at 3pm.

Great Lakes Grand Prix

The award-winning Great Lakes Grand Prix features many of the world’s fastest and most powerful offshore power boats along with AquaX jet ski racing. Throughout this exciting free 4-day event, walkthrough Washington park and chat with racers, team members, boat and jet ski owners which also appear in the boat parade, block party and Taste of Michigan City. Night Bike Ride

The LaPorte Night Bicycle Ride will take you on a leisurely 13-mile starlit bike ride of LaPorte. Please note this is NOT a race. All participants must wear a helmet and have a headlight and taillight on their bike. Participants under the age of 10 years old must be accompanied and ride with an adult, either pull behind or tandem and require their own registration. Cost for this event is $20 per person and includes a t-shirt (if registered one week prior or while supplies last) and post-race snacks. Cost for day of ride is $30. Check in begins at 8pm at the Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater in Fox Park. PLEASE NOTE: Locations for each Night Bicycle Ride will begin at a new location each month.

Air Fair 2021

Come bring your family to see and experience aviation at its best. A WWII B-25J Mitchell, Maid in the Shade, will be here for tours and rides (www.azcaf.org). Also present will be universities, flight schools, and other aviation organizations. On Saturday, August 14, bring your antique car for a special parking spot. On Sunday, August 15, from 7am to noon is our annual pancake breakfast. Don’t want pancakes? Then eat at one of our food trucks between 11am and 5pm each day. Tour de LaPorte

Going the distance for healthy living…the Tour de LaPorte is a cycling, running and walking event to benefit the LaPorte County Family YMCA’s scholarship fund. At the Y, we don’t turn anyone away!
